videographer success!

It's taken literally a year for me to find the right videographer. I'm a bit...picky, to say the least, and because I'm picky I tend to want things that are...well, a bit out of our budget. More like, more than the price of our entire wedding.

I figured I had reached my last limits when I stumbled upon J. Design Studios. They are located in Springfield, and for the life of me I can't even remember how I ended up finding them. They dont advertise anywhere (that I can see) and they are mainly photographers. I liked their pictures, and pulled up their pricing info for that, with the full intention of using them for ceremony. I noticed on their price listing that they offered videography and was intrigued...I shot them an email and the owner, Jared, and I started talking about their photography. They haven't actually shot a wedding (yet) but his partner Chris specializes in video work and has worked with bands and whatnot, mainly shooting music videos. So it wasn't like they didnt know what they were doing...and he shot me a couple examples of their work and I can tell that they definitely know what they are doing. The price was pretty incredible, and though I'd rather have them for photography, I really am in need of a videographer at this point, and I figured I'd give them a shot even though they haven't done a wedding. I'm not too worried, since they shoot wedding photo-wise all the time, meaning they know what to expect. Plus, they are one of the only ones I talked to who would give me the raw footage tapes and multiple copies of the final piece, as well as shoot with two people, all day, with two cameras. I was asking for alot, and so when this opportunity presented itself, needless to say the deposit is now on the way! ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!

planning officially underway!

I bought a binder today. As scary as that is and as non-descript as it really will turn out to be, my system of trying to organize everything on random pieces of paper and alerts on my phone just isnt seeming to cut it. So far all it has in it is those annoying photographers from Omaha, but the videographer is in the works *shhh* as is the reception hall *hopefully!* and ceremony location, so I think this shindig is actually happening this time around...

Me

I'm a newlywed with a love for the little things in life- sipping a cappuccino at a local coffee shop in the sunshine, art that seems to make no sense, the smile my husband gets sometimes when I catch him watching me, the cool breeze in the fall when the leaves are changing, my dog when she has somehow manages to wedge herself under my hand and I find myself petting her unknowingly, the smell of freshly cut grass, the sounds of the ocean, taking photos of instances you can never get back. I feel too much about things but may not always say it. I adore my mother. You'll find I take a lot of pictures. La vita รจ bella.
