embarassing pictures of my sister... :)

I finally got around to getting these pictures up of when I was down in Springfield last and Kelsey got to try on her dress. Hahahaha. She was SO thrilled (not...) when I started taking her picture...

HA! Her fault for not just smiling!

I think once we get the crinolines underneath they will look really cute because they will be fuller. I love the color though! Hopefully the crinnys will come in before I leave to go back down there in a couple weeks...

more crinny fun!

So I was pretty productive today and actually placed the order for the bridesmaid's crinnys! I am so excited. I've been working with 2BirdStone from Etsy and she's literally been amazing. She's giving us a discount for doing so many and is custom making the color to match the shade of brown! I had them shipped directly to her today, so I am super excited to see the pictures she will send me soon. They will probably get to her early next week, so I should have pictures soon! I'm really anxious and I hope they look as good as I'm hoping!!

Speaking of crinnys, I guess this has just become a "thing" for the wedding, since my mom and I decided that she needs to wear a Husker red one at the wedding- since it will be game day, AND they will be playing Texas. Yes, we are having our wedding on Husker game day. My mom got some SUPER cute rhinestone Husker flip flops from Victoria's Secret while we were in town and I think it will be adorable for her to have her slip and the flip flops at the reception. So once she decides for sure on a dress, we are ordering hers. Ha- looks like this girl is getting alot of business from us! We are also going to make Skyler one too, probably brown like the rest of the girls! I'm so excited.

It's hard to see, but those are total bling-ness on the straps!

Hey, some wedding parties have the converse tennis shoes, we have the dyed crinnolines!! ;D

annabelle gets one too!

So while I was in Springfield trying on my dress with my amazing crinny, my mom decided that Annabelle needed to have a crinny as well, since she was in the wedding party, after-all. Well, I thoroughly enjoyed that idea, but figured someone would have to make a crinoline that small, since honestly, did they really make them that tiny?! I went through all of the ideas in my head about asking the girl in Carolina to dye it to match my dress, and if I could even attempt to make one myself. Well, I was sitting at work yesterday morning and decided to Google search to see if anything like this existed for dogs of the world. And after about 3 hours of searching (hey, the news is 4 hours give me a break) I finally came across this...

Oh yes. It seems that these do exist. And in many different colors. Of course hers will be hot pink to match mine, and since it will be under her little dress, when she walks up the aisle you will see this pretty pinkness from behind, and I think it will be adorable. For $25, it is so totally happening. And now she just needs a bow for her hair and she is set.

Am I obsessed? Oh yes. But hey, at least I didnt have to make one-there are people in the world who thought of this before me!

pink and perfect!

YAY! So last night I was playing around and looking for stuff on Etsy (goodness I'm addicted) and all of a sudden I got a message from 2BirdStone, who is dying my crinoline. She said my crinny was done, and to top it off, SENT PICTURES! I am so incredibly excited. It turned out amazing. It's on it's way back to me now and I can't wait to see it in person, but the pictures make me just oh so happy with joy.

Ahhh! I am in love.

bye crinoline!

I sent off my crinoline to be dyed today! I've been talking with the girl and she seems really nice and gave me some great advice about which color to pick and I'm really excited to see the final outcome. Ahh! So excited. I went through a girl on Etsy named 2BirdStone and she was really reasonable. I'd definitely pay the $20 to have her dye it and make it nice and even then spend the time and mess trying to do it myself! That and our washer and dryer are new, so I'd really like to not have them turn pink!!

I cant wait for it to get done and come back!

This is the before picture. It's HUGE! And can totally stand on it's own!

More invite printing tonight after we head to Balano and hope they are open this time!

crinny dilemmas

I have mentioned before how badly I want to dye my crinny and I've been debating on what color to do. I've considered making it my "something blue" but I REALLY want to do pink...so I think pink is going to win out. But what shade? Fushia? Baby pink? Vintage-y pink to go with the fall theme?

So many choices...I suppose finding my shoes will decide this for me...

I just cant WAIT to take some super amazing pictures with it!! Ahh!

Me

I'm a newlywed with a love for the little things in life- sipping a cappuccino at a local coffee shop in the sunshine, art that seems to make no sense, the smile my husband gets sometimes when I catch him watching me, the cool breeze in the fall when the leaves are changing, my dog when she has somehow manages to wedge herself under my hand and I find myself petting her unknowingly, the smell of freshly cut grass, the sounds of the ocean, taking photos of instances you can never get back. I feel too much about things but may not always say it. I adore my mother. You'll find I take a lot of pictures. La vita รจ bella.
