sigh.

I am a bit bummed. Tonight we were supposed to go and see my wedding band, but when Adam called to make sure it was all ready, it turns out it wasn't. I was a little irritated that they didnt bother to call us earlier to inform us that it wouldnt be ready, since they had told us it would actually be ready yesterday. So now I have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday for it to be done, which is quite depressing, since I had been looking forward to it all week.

Oh well. I suppose it could be worse. It is being custom made, so it very well could have taken weeks upon weeks for it to be finished.

Sigh. I will try to be patient.

ring

We went to see the ring last night, and although it was only a wax mold of the actual ring, I LOVE it! We actually met with the jeweler himself who will be personally making the ring, and he had some really neat suggestions for it. I am really excited, they are going to be able to do pretty much everything that I had asked and the even better thing? He will have it done the end of next week.

We went to Balano today and it went really well! Although it was a bit overwhelming I think we finally found the perfect ring. They are going to custom design it based on my engagement ring so that it will match up against it perfectly. The other good thing? They only need one day to do the wax mold, meaning I only have to go without my ring for one day! AND if we like it and we go with it, it only takes a week for it to be completely made! And it will be totally custom. Much more than I can say for Jared, which it WASNT a custom piece and it STILL took them over 2 months to come in. This one is also the exact same price as the one at Jared's, and nicer. Plus, we also talked about doing a bit to Adam's ring...he needed it sized and wanted to fill in the bottom so we can have it engraved. They talked to him about it and it can be done for super cheap, so we are so excited! I get to see the wax for it tomorrow night and make any changes and whatnot to it then. I'm so excited, I hope it looks good!!

slightly disappointed

So we just got back from seeing the ring. It was really pretty, dont get me wrong, but I have to say I was disappointed. It just didnt look like what I had expected it to and now I'm really bummed out. Adam wasn't a huge fan of it either, but we told them to hold on to it for another week or so while we make up our minds. We tried going to Balano afterwards, since we had talked to them before about doing custom bands for the ring, but when we got there they were closed...which was odd since it was only 7:30 and they were supposed to close at 9. I've heard that they are having money problems, and I hope that doesnt mean that they are closing!

We are going to try again tomorrow night and see if they are open then. Hopefully they will be and we can try this route before deciding on the other ring.

MY RING CAME IN!

Or at least that's what Adam called to tell me! I'm so excited, we've been waiting since the beginning of April for it to come in so we can see what it looks like before we actually order it. I'm so excited! I hope it looks awesome and we can get this checked off the list!
